Tetramethylbisphenol A can be used to synthesize the diamine monomer 2,2-bis [3,5-dimethyl-4- (4-aminophenoxy) phenyl] propane (TBAPP). TBAPP ChemicalbookP undergoes condensation reactions with various dianhydride in N, N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) solvents, and the resulting polyamic acid is dehydrated and cyclized into polyimide under heat.
