2-Pyrrolidinone can be used as a solvent and organic synthesis intermediate for the production of nylon-4 and vinyl pyrrolidone, among others;

2-Pyrrolidinone can also be used as a solvent for synthesizing resins, pesticides, polyols, inks, iodine, etc;

2-Pyrrolidinone can also be used as a plasticizer for acrylic and acrylic styrene resins, an extractant for aromatic compounds, a decolorizer for kerosene, rosin, fatty acids, etc.

1. Use glass, stainless steel, or chemically resistant plastic (such as HDPE, PP) containers to avoid contact with reactive metals such as aluminum or copper.

2. Strictly seal to prevent moisture absorption and volatilization (it is recommended to use bottle caps with PTFE liners).

3. Store in a cool place (15-25 ° C), avoiding high temperatures (which may accelerate decomposition or volatilization) and freezing (which may cause solidification or crystallization).

4. Maintain a dry environment (relative humidity<60%), which can be protected with desiccants or inert gases (such as nitrogen).

5. Ensure good ventilation and avoid steam accumulation (operate in explosion-proof fume hoods or dedicated storage cabinets).

6. Keep away from sources of ignition: Due to its flammability (flash point of approximately 129 ° C), it is necessary to keep away from heat sources/open flames and label it as a flammable liquid.

7. Separate from oxidants and strong acids/bases to avoid reactions (such as nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.).

8. Use conductive containers and ground them to prevent static electricity accumulation.
