Barbituric acid is used as an organic synthesis raw material, pharmaceutical, plastic, and dye intermediate. It is an intermediate for drugs such as barbiturates and vitamin B12, and can also be used as a polymerization catalyst and to produce benzimidazolone organic pigments. It can also be used as a reagent for colorimetric determination of sugar aldehydes and pentoses,

Barbituric acid is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate to synthesize drugs such as barbiturates, phenobarbitals, and vitamin B12. It is also used as a polymerization catalyst and a raw material for dye production. Barbituric acid (impurity A of fluorouracil EP) is the parent compound of barbiturates. Unsubstituted barbituric acid has no hypnotic effect.

Packed in 25 kg per drum or based on customers' requirements.

Store barbituric acid in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, protected from light and moisture.

Keep the container tightly sealed in a chemically resistant package (e.g., glass or plastic).

Avoid contact with strong oxidizers and store at room temperature or below.
