About Phenothiazine CAS 92-84-2

What's the Phenothiazine CAS 92-84-2?

Phenothiazine CAS 92-84-2 is an aromatic compound with the chemical formula S (C6H4) 2NH.

When heated and in contact with strong acids, it decomposes to produce toxic and irritating smoke containing nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides.

Rapidly reacting with strong oxidants can create a risk of ignition.

Application

1. Phenothiazine is an intermediate of fine chemicals such as drugs and dyes. It is a synthetic material additive (polymerization inhibitor for the production of vinylon), fruit tree insecticide, and animal repellent. It has significant effects on the nematodes of cattle, sheep, and horses, such as the twisted stomach worm, nodule worm, mouth suppressor nematode, Chariotis nematode, and sheep's fine neck nematode.

2. Also known as thiodiphenylamine. Phenothiazine CAS 92-84-2 mainly used as a polymerization inhibitor for acrylic ester-based production. It is also used for the synthesis of drugs and dyes, as well as additives for synthetic materials (such as polymerization inhibitors for vinyl acetate and raw materials for rubber anti-aging agents). It is also used as an insect repellent for livestock and as an insecticide for fruit trees.

3. Phenothiazine CAS 92-84-2 is mainly used as an excellent polymerization inhibitor for vinyl monomers and is widely used in the production of acrylic acid, acrylate, methacrylate, and vinyl acetate.

Storage conditions

This product should be sealed and stored in a cool and dry place.

Pack in 25-kg lined plastic bags, woven outer bags, or plastic drums. Store in a cool, dry, and ventilated warehouse. Strictly prevent moisture and water, sun protection, and keep away from sparks and heat sources. Light loading and unloading during transportation to prevent packaging damage.

Stability

1.When stored in the air for a long time, it is prone to oxidation and darkens in color, exhibiting sublimation properties. There is a faint odor that is irritating to the skin. Flammable when exposed to open flames or high heat.
2.Toxic products, especially when products with incomplete refinement are mixed with diphenylamine, ingestion and inhalation can lead to poisoning. This product can be absorbed by the skin, causing skin allergies, dermatitis, discoloration of hair and nails, inflammation of the conjunctiva and cornea, as well as stimulating the gastrointestinal tract, damaging the kidneys and liver, causing hemolytic anemia, abdominal pain, and tachycardia. Operators should wear protective equipment. Those who take it by mistake should immediately undergo gastric lavage and receive treatment.
