Product properties & Features

RFE polyisocyanate is a highly effective crosslinker for adhesives based on polyurethane, natural rubber and Synthesis rubber.
RFE polyisocyanate is also useful for improving adhesiveness of rubber-based materials.
It Can be used as crosslinker instead of Bayer’s Desmodur RFE.

Usage

Two-component adhesive must be used with the applicable period after putting in RFE.
The length of applicable period is not only related to the polymer content of adhesive,
but also other relevant components ( like resin, Antioxygen, plasticizer, solvent, etc.
When close to the applicable period, usually a few hours or one working day, adhesive becomes more difficult to operate,
and viscosity rises soon.
Finally, it becomes the irreversible jelly. 100 quality adhesive, Hydroxyl polyurethane ( Polyurethane account for around 20%),
RFE does 4-7. Chloroprene rubber ( Rubber account for around 20%) , RFE does 4-7.

Packing

Package: 0.75kg/bottle, total 20 bottles in one carton box, 180kg/barrel, OR according customers request.

Storage

- Storage in original sealed Covestro container. - Recommended storage temperature: 10 - 30 °C. - Protect from moisture, heat and foreign material. General information: During transportation and storage at low temperatures, crystalline deposits may form. These redissolve at room temperature. The product is highly sensitive to moisture and react with water to form carbon dioxide and insoluble ureas. The containers must therefore be kept tightly sealed. The ingress of water in any form (damp containers, anhydrous solvents, moist air) must be prevented as otherwise the formation of carbon dioxide may cause a dangerous in-crease in pressure in the containers. Exposure to air and/or light intensifies discoloration but this has no effect on the processing properties in general.
