Application
Used as raw material for manufacturing zirconia. It is also used as a rubber additive, coating desiccant, refractory material, ceramic, glaze and fiber treatment agent.
Zirconia oxychloride is the main raw material for producing other zirconium products such as zirconia, zirconium carbonate, zirconium sulfate, composite zirconia, and zirconium hafnium separation to prepare metal zirconium hafnium. It can also be used as an additive in textiles, leather, rubber, metal surface treatment agents, coating desiccants, refractory materials, ceramics, catalysts, fire retardants, and other products.
Emergency Measures
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse with plenty of running water.
Eye contact: Lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or saline solution. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Quickly leave the scene and move to a place with fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing stops, immediately perform artificial respiration and seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink plenty of warm water and induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
Emergency response to leakage
Isolate the contaminated area and restrict access.
It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks and general work clothes.
Do not come into direct contact with the leaked material.
Minor leakage: Avoid dust, carefully sweep up, place in a bag and transfer to a safe place.
Massive leakage: Collect and recycle or transport to waste disposal sites for disposal.
